Pedro, Joao, Where exactly in Portgual are you guys (I know It has been mentioned before, but I haven't been paying attention).

I've been selected for a work placement scheme within the VW group for 5 weeks in the summer (June to July), and one of possible the sites mentioned was VW Portugal (I assume they mean the Palmela factory?). Is that local to you? It'd be cool to meet up with you guys once in a while if I do get sent there - It looks like I'll be sharing an apartment non stop with the Welsh bloke I ranted about a few months ago :x.

Both the other sites mentioned are in Germany, but a disturbing distance from the Ring (320KM) and I'll more than likely be without a car :(.

The Palmela plant (Auto-Europa) is 330 kms from us, just south of Lisbon. We live in Espinho, 20 kms south of Porto. Google earth will help with the distance ballpark figure.

We won't be having pints every weekend but if you're here we'll surely pay a visit or two. :nickd: Especially in June when there are a couple of bank holidays :---) (in the first couple of weeks).

If you do get a car to use around Palmela, there are a couple of great places to visit, from the scenery touristy perspective, and Lisbon is a good city.

You could hop on a train and we´d show you Porto.
