So, I've been on a fix binge.

I had a bit of a positive camber issue about the front wheels:

Which was quickly rectified thanks to Gaz camber-adjustable top mounts:

Then, I took a trip to Rust Master so I could stop clenching my buttocks every time I saw a salt lorry. And god DAMN are those guys thorough.

Rolling in:

Steam cleaning:

All done:

Rolling out:

If anyone wants to get their car treated, hit me up - I have a £50 discount code thing.

Then I got in the way at Fritz's Bits to sort some niggles.

Dodgy fuel pump location:

Dodgy fuel pump wiring:

Dodgy Japanese fuse blocks, with no obvious purpose:

Purged of dodgery:

On the 02 machine:

Running hella-rich, so the AFM was cracked open:

Then we chipped it with a Group A Touring Car map:

Now running beautifully.

I know you chaps are all about dabs of opposite lock and heel-toeing your way around the Nordschleife, so I do apologise for the polish-based wordery...

Anyhow, I started the day here:

Pretty awful when you compare left with right:

Now less so:

Rocked into town and snapped some pics:

If I get a sec tomorrow, I'll wind it down to summer ride height. Kapow.

The difference in paint is quite something :---)

Did they give the interior any treatment?

And the Meguiars pic is about 5 mins from me.... Looks gorgeous, polished up very well!

Also more info needed on the SEC, and it better come with the same engine as fitted to the W123 :?:

Morning, chaps.

Thanks for the kind words. Yeah, it came out alright. The interior got a perfunctory wipe with some leather cleaner and a bit of a vacuum, but nothing particularly involved.

As for what's next:

- Replace the wobbly prop (needs a UJ at the 'box end. I wager a new centre bearing wouldn't got a miss, either)
- Arrange a pair of ABS sensors (trying to find some that don't cost £80 each)
- Fit some hidden ICE (this weekend, hopefully)
- Fix the heater fan (it's stuck on half way, which is irritating)
- Stainless free-flow exhaust (trying desperately not to succumb to the temptation of a six-branch manifold)
- Tidy up the engine bay (I have a polished rocker cover for it and a spare inlet that would look cool painted)
- Get the trip computer working

Only little things, really. Although I've just acquired a 5-speed manual 'box for it...

And the discount code for Rust Master (http://www.rustmaster.co.uk) is Practical Classics - cryptic, eh?

Sounds like it's keeping you busy!
The old 6-series rarely seem to come with manual boxes, would make yours stand out nicely.

Wouldn't worry so much about the trip computer, it only ever seems to give bad news :?:
