It's always fascinating to read peoples builds as they go, so with kind permission, we are going to feature a few builds here. Hopefully, this will build into a large collection of builds and articles as it goes, written predominantly by the builders themselves, so all credit to them!

What is an FC Approved Project?

An FC approved project is something that involves a lot of work buy the owner, not just someone who sends their car off to a garage and get them to do all the work by throwing cash at it. Anyone can buy anything if they have enough, but that means nothing as the car isn't really their own sweat, blood and tears. Obviously not everyone can do everything, but as long as they mean well, that's good enough for us.

After Nigel P. had an unfortunate incident on the Nurburgring, and ending up with a rather bent Golf GTi, he decided to bring the car home, salvage all the remaining parts, and bare shell rebuild another on to get it ready for his next trip.

The catch? He only had a month to do it. Read on...

This is a superbly detailed and illustrated edit of Nigel's build diary on Northloop.co.uk, edited with his kind permission, and very much FC approved.
